I was watching an osprey hunt and sure enough it came up with a fish, unluckily it turned and flew off away from my direction. A few minutes later I heard the same osprey squawking and fighting with something in the sky, but before I could see what it was, they dropped below the tree line. Eventually the osprey emerged from below the tree line and once again headed away from me, this time with empty talons. A few second later I saw a large bird also emerge from the tree line, this one heading towards me. I instantly recognized it as a bald eagle, but did not realize it had something in its talons until it passed over head, it had won the battle and stolen the osprey’s fish.
